Research objectives: The general aim is to build a comprehensive understanding of the novel functionality of MSMAs resulting from enlarged MAH and to confirm it experimentally. We want to:
- Objective O1 – Identify the causes of enlarged MAH in Ni-Mn-Ga(-B) alloys.
- Objective O2 – Identify the physical mechanisms underlying the novel functionality.
- Objective O3 – Produce new alloys with the novel functionality better exposed (strenghtened).
- Objective O4 – Demonstrate the practical usage of the novel functionality.
